AN INITIATIVE THAT CONNECTS THE CITY TO ITS INNOVATION

Promoted by the Municipality of Porto and developed in partnership with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Porto Innovation Hub and Porto Digital, Inovação Fora de Portas (Innovation Outside the Doors), brings the community closer to the behind-the-scenes of urban innovation. 

 

Through technical visits, meetings, documentaries and publications, the project reveals the work of those who transform the territory — engineers, architects,  researchers and municipal teams who shape a more sustainable,  intelligent and humane city. More than just showcasing works and projects, Inovação Fora de Portas promotes knowledge sharing and dialogue between those who live in Porto and those who build it every day.

Giving visibility to the innovation that builds Porto 

Inovação Fora de  Portas was born from the desire  to make visible the technical  and  scientific knowledge behind the city's major projects. Each edition opens up space for the discovery of the processes, challenges and solutions that define the future of Porto. 

 

The initiative promotes closer ties between technicians and citizens, transforming the way people view the territory and strengthening the community's connection to its works and spaces. Inovação Fora de Portas is a platform for sharing and valuing  knowledge  that  builds a more participatory and conscious city.
